Mon, 08/13/2007 - 12:14 — justin
The Auburn Industrial Design Students are on their annual Ireland trip (which actually includes Scotland and France ), but mostly our fine land. They have been visiting us for about 7 years or so and both Anto and I have lectured in Auburn and delivered for the IDSA educational conferences. The group arrives at 9.30am on April 2nd and will stay with us until that Friday (6th). During their time there will be a live project hosted by ST&D who develop medical devices. There will be teams of 3 students (from Auburn and Magee) competing for a cash prize. The aim will be to design a new generation product based on an existing idea for 2 years time. The outcomes will include sketch books, 3D renders, 3D CAD models a multimedia presentation / animation and perhaps even a physical prototype. We are looking for interested individuals in years 1,2,3 or 4 in the BDes or BSc group or MDes students who may wish to participate. Can you please email me as soon as possible if you are interested?
More project details to follow.
