Big Fish Design & Advertising based in Derry produce design for Brochures, Corporate Identity, Exhibitions and Web. They currently wish to extend to website development. Terms: They are very interested in students both graduate and post graduate and are open to the following possibilities. # Freelance Web Designer # Part time Web Designer # 1 Year placement Web Designer Job Description: The designer will have the responsibility of taking briefs from clients, present working ideas for client approval and publish results. Each job is carefully considered within the team of designers. Jobs are discussed and ideas are formulated and refined collectively. Requirements: They will be required to have knowledge of all the web based programmes such as Dreamweaver, Flash etc plus additional knowledge of Photoshop. There will also be the possibility that the successful candidate would be involved in design for print using such programmes as Quark X Press and Illustrator (Knowledge of these programmes is not essential at this stage). Although technical knowledge is essential, the candidate will need to show considerable design creativity. Good conceptual work is the pride of the company and they try to push the boundaries of design as much as possible. They are looking for a student/ graduate with strong ideas within their portfolio. A full CV will not be necessary but a short description of the candidates abilities and aspirations may be helpful.
