Cineclectic Video competition

Students see the following opportunity to get your work recognised. You may wish to consider some of your present work for this or even something you on an extra-curricular basis. Please let me know if you intend to ompete.

Cineclectic is hosting a video competition, and any further and higher education students from Northern Ireland may enter.

The task is to produce (develop, shoot, edit, and deliver) a video project which incorporates new technology in a creative way. We have purposely left this definition vague, as we would like to see a broad array of different topics and approaches. Your video project can use new technology (for example, can be an innovative way to incorporate video into use with the iPad or iPhone), or it can use elements of new technology (for example, a short film that incorporates music created from brain waves).

The videos will be judged by Cineclectic on their quality, creativity, and innovation. Think cutting edge. We want you to wow us with an idea or technology application no one has ever seen before.  You must deliver in 16 x 9 format, ideally High Definition, though Standard Definition Format will be considered as well. You must own or have permission to use all the media in the video. By entering the competition, you consent to Cineclectic placing your video on our website.  You must fill out and return Cineclectic's video competition application. The deadline for entering is March 15th.

The winning filmmaker or team will win a £1,000 gift voucher to one of the major video equipment shops in London.

The final projects must be completed by May 14th. A winner will be chosen by June 1st.
