DES514-2011- week 12 seminars

Final year 3D students,

there will be a group seminar on Friday 10th December starting at 1:15pm sharp. At this point you will be expected to show the latest images of your work to date. These can include both digital and print presentations, but must include a digital presentation. There is no specific format (i.e. Pecha Kucha), but keep it concise. I am expecting to see some significant developments using 3DSMAX. Please ensure you have the following with you:

  • Evidence of your 3DSMAX model of your final design
  • A time line developed using vector graphics (for the character design) or technical / ergonomics type drawings for the furniture (using either cobalt/ graphite / illustrator or bipeds in 3DSMAX)
  • User scenario product illustrations or character (in situ) illustrations
  • Good quality final board planning sketches. These can be on A4 or A3. They should show the visual plans which you hope to use for your final boards. You need to decide what you will communicate and how many boards are required to achieve this (normally between 3 and 5, but note quantity is not directly related to quality so decide as appropriate for your project).
