"I've been chatting over the past day to Blick Studios on the Malone Road in Belfast. A not-for-profit org set up to help new and emerging talent and business in the create industries. They have studio space, conference rooms and exhibition space.
They're extremely interested in hosting some sort of "New Talent" exhibition for us to show our work. This is completely separate to the Degree Show in Magee and another chance for us to show our work to a new audience in Belfast. A better chance to get a name for ourselves and show off a little.
Initial thoughts are as follows:
-There will be One, Two or Three shows
-Attendance is voluntary, although im sure you'll all jump at the chance
-THE SPACE WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE - There MAY be a cost for printing of publicity, ill know more about this tomorrow. (Hopefully Not, ill work my magic)
-Dates are unconfirmed, as is the number of shows
What i need from you is a quick reply stating:
-Are you interested
-What would be better, Weekday or Weekend launch for the show, i'm sure we all have summer jobs to pay of debt, so i'm assuming weekend - Still let me know
-Are you interested in rolling up your sleeves to help out? This may be in the form of preparing the space, helping out with the graphics for advertising, fundraising for other costs?? (Remember there not-for-profit)"
