A message from the Bauhaus

Second year design students Tracey Lee Clarke and Tom McClean have been having the time of their lives in the Erasmus 2009/2010 exchange programme at the Bauhaus Universität Weimar in Germany. This is a fantastic opportunity open to all second year students and there are several Universities across Europe open to do business. We also have the pleasure of having exchange students visiting Magee. See some of the images capturing the culture and the craic of this exchange programme. If you are interested in this programme, contact the present coordinator for Erasmus, Lee Cadieux.

Erasmus Bauhaus

Tracy and Tom are the first BDes students to attend Bauhaus. I am delighted to see them follow through on my suggestion to take up this placement at the original School of Design. As Erasmus tutor I will be pleased to assist any other students wishing to do the same. This is the first year we have established this prestigious link and we hope other students will take up this opportunity. Of course! without a second

Of course! without a second thought! Studying here has been amazing and i am even considering a masters here. The way of studying here is so different, but its good to experience something different from home and i have learnt so much from this. Even another language! I feel so much more prepared for my final year in Ulster now and i think its given me so much inspiration. To any students considering placement anywhere (especially Germany) DO IT!!!! Great encouragement Tracey Lee. I was also an Erasmus student while at Coventry Univeristy (1994)... yes 1994! I'm in total agreement with you- its a complete cultural and professional experience. I went to Pforzheim FHG which is a private car design school- priceless.
